Love laws-God of Small Things

Started reading this 1997 Booker Price Winner under the high recommendation and constant pestering of Shilpa, my sister, second among the 3 siblings. She ranked this book as one among the Bests she has read so far.
Finally I fell for her spell - ordered an online copy - started reading it immediately (I couldn't read it in one stretch as I had other Mommy priorities).
Here is what I think about it. The book throws subtle sensation of a thriller. Vivid images would glide past our mind as whole of the fiction is enriched with intricate details.
Well! What that set me thinking was Author's questioning on the love protocols or love stereotypes fixed by human race.
I am not positive on two people succumbing to lust. What I believe is, there should be a meaning, a connection, an innermost whirl of love, a bond that connects two souls together. If they can find solace in each other; If grief, sorrow, disappointments dissolve away when they are together; If one can be the back of another; If the weaknesses of one person vanishes away by the presence of the other; If, so well they fit together like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle; Then they are meant for each other. Then there is essence in the love they share together. They complete each other.
Arundhati Roy portrays such kind of love, the love that arises in solitude, the love that longs for a tender and warm heart to pour oneself in. She has established her own language through out the book: "Dum dum".
A Creative Novel that sequels through negative events(whole novel is packed with tragedies) and then the climax envelopes all the negative scenarios(from start till end) for a positive reason, which is love or lack of love or craving for love.
P.S : May be it's hard to find such kind of love; May be only very few people had ever encountered such kind of love. May be the author herself has sought for a similar kind of love.
